Monthly Water Supply Contracts for Contractors: What to Agree
By the Dubai Water Tankers team · Published · Updated
What should a monthly water supply contract for a construction site include?
A monthly water supply arrangement should fix the water type, load size, delivery days and times, the site contact and gate procedure, how extra or skipped loads are requested, and how and when you are invoiced. Agreeing these upfront means water arrives on schedule without daily calls, and your accounts team gets one invoice per month.
- Fix water type, load size, days and times
- Name one site contact and the gate procedure
- Agree notice for extra or skipped loads
- One consolidated invoice per month

Ordering water load by load works for the first weeks. Once the site is running, it becomes a daily task for someone who has better things to do, and a missed call means a crew standing idle. A monthly arrangement fixes the routine so water just arrives.
What to agree
Water type and load size
State clearly: sweet (concrete, curing, welfare), salt (compaction, dust) or both, and the load size for each. Never let “water” mean either. See salt water vs sweet water on site.
Delivery days and time slots
For example: “Sweet, 2,500 gallons, Monday to Saturday, 7:00–8:00” and “Salt, 10,000 gallons, Monday and Thursday”. Early slots usually work best: crews start early and roads are quieter. Keep Dubai’s truck restrictions in mind; some roads and areas are closed to heavy vehicles at certain hours.
Site contact and access
One named person and number who can open the gate and show the tank. Confirm the gate, the route on site, where the truck parks and the hose distance. Our site access checklist covers it.
Extra and skipped loads
How much notice you give to add a load before a big pour, or to skip one on a holiday. With us, 24 hours’ notice is enough for changes; urgent extras are handled as fast as the fleet allows.
Delivery proof
How each delivery is recorded: a signed delivery note, a photo of the full tank, or a WhatsApp message to the site contact with the time and quantity. Pick one and use it every time, so invoices match.
Invoicing and payment
One invoice per month listing every delivery. Agree payment method (cash or bank transfer) and terms, whether VAT is shown separately, and which company name and TRN go on the invoice. If your company needs a purchase order or a supplier registration, send the forms before the first invoice.
Changing the plan
Sites change every few weeks. Agree that the schedule is reviewed when the phase changes (earthworks → structure → finishing), because water use changes with it.
Pricing
Price depends on water type, load size, frequency, your site’s location and access. We don’t publish a rate card. Send us your site location, expected volumes and schedule, and we’ll reply with a fixed price per load for the arrangement.
How to start

- Send the site location pin, contact, water types and preferred slots on WhatsApp.
- Take a few loads at the proposed times to check access and volumes.
