What is a salt water tanker used for in Dubai?

A salt water tanker delivers non-potable water to Dubai construction sites for soil compaction, dust suppression and wetting site roads. It is never for drinking, pools or concrete. Dubai Water Tankers arranges salt water in separate 5,000 and 10,000-gallon partner tankers, so our drinking-water truck never carries it.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't you carry salt water in your own truck?
Our truck is a drinking-water tanker. Dubai Municipality's guideline says drinking-water tankers must not be used for any other purpose, so salt water always comes in a separate partner tanker.
Can salt water be used in concrete?
No. Chlorides corrode reinforcement steel; the American Concrete Institute advises against seawater in reinforced concrete. Use sweet water for mixing and curing.
Can I water plants or fill a pool with salt water?
No. Salt water damages plants and soil and is not suitable for pools.
Do you supply TSE water?
TSE (treated sewage effluent) is recycled non-potable water, used in Dubai mainly for irrigation. If your project specifies TSE, tell us the volume and site and we'll confirm whether a partner can supply it.
What is the minimum salt water order?
Partner salt water tankers usually carry 5,000 gallons or more. Ask on WhatsApp if you need less.
